An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accountant to join the Finance team at HBBC.

You will need to have experience in providing financial advice and direction to budget holders in respect of legislation, financing options, financial performance and budget setting.

You will be required to have membership of AAT with proven accountancy experience or; be a part qualified member of an appropriate accountancy body having completed first two stages of a CCAB qualification.

You’ll also need experience of year end and Statement of Account production.

You will be expected to provide management accounting support for a group of services and assist in the completion of financial statements.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a high level of IT literacy are essential for the post.

Due to continual development of our community house projects we are seeking a Community Development Support Worker to provide support for the community house projects in Earl Shilton, Barwell and Wykin and in other project areas of the Borough managed by the team.

The successful candidate will undertake a broad range of administration tasks, provide support for initiatives and events and deliver excellent customer service to individuals and groups accessing the projects.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about community work, has good organisational skills, is a good communicator and is proficient in the use of IT. This post requires an individual who can be flexible in their approach to work as the project is continually developing to the needs of the community so new initiatives are developed on a regular basis.
