On Sunday 29th June 2025 – The Hinckley Business Improvement District (BID) proudly hosted its 14th Soapbox Derby, and the event was a remarkable success, drawing an enthusiastic crowd of participants and spectators from all over the region. The streets of Hinckley were transformed into a thrilling raceway as creative and ingeniously designed soapbox carts raced down the Castle Street hill, showcasing the ingenuity and spirit of our community.

This year featured 23 themed soapboxes with their respective teams, each bringing their unique flair and creativity to the competition. Families, friends, and local businesses came together to support the racers and cheer on their favourites, creating an electrifying atmosphere filled with excitement and camaraderie.
