Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council event. Music in the Mead returns for 2024, starting with Take it From the Top - a ten-piece band who will be playing a lively programme, with some 1940s classics and some more modern numbers from Elton John and Tina Turner.

The evening concert will feature the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Wind Orchestra. Gates open at 5pm, concert begins at 6opm and finishes at 8.30pm.
There will be a half hour interval where refreshments or an ice cream can be purchased. Local business, Bond Street Distillery, will also be in the park from 5pm with an outdoor bar.
You are welcome to bring your own drinks and picnic. The event is free to attend and no booking is necessary. However, capacity in the auditorium area will be on a first-come-first-served basis.

The first Hinckley BID Classic Vehicle Meet of 2024, returning this year by popular demand.
Anyone with a classic vehicle of any kind who would like to pop along would be most welcome.
Entrance will be from Station Road. Free to enter and visit. Please spread the word to any enthusiast you may know!

Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council event, in partnership with the Hinckley Combined Armed Forces and Veterans Community. The annual service of celebration will be held by Churches Together.
The outdoor service will start at 11am at the Bandstand, with everyone welcome. Please arrive at 10.45am.
The first parade will leave outside Jasper's on Castle Street at 10:45am, marching into Argents Mead. The second will leave after the service, marching down Castle Street and past the saluting base on Station Road.
A range if military vehicles and memorabilia will be on display in the Mead from 10am-2pm.
The famous Hinckley BID Soapbox Derby is back again for a 13th year!
This is a tremendously fun, family event for the teams and spectators alike. Comprising both a jump or a chicane, it is the driver’s choice as they steam down the 200m Castle Street hill cheered on by the crowds!
Why not Build a Soap Box and compete? Trophies will be awarded for both Senior and Junior categories including Fastest Time, Best Turned Out, Best Novelty, Best Amateur and Most Enthusiastic Junior.
The minimum age of a Junior Team Driver is 12 years. The minimum age of a Senior Team Driver is 18 years.
£25 fee to enter a soapbox - further details can be found on the entry form below!

Dinosaurs invade Hinckley!
The Nutty Professor and his team are being called in to catch the roaming Dinosaurs and find their eggs! Please come and enjoy the fun. Shows will take place at 10.30am, 12.00 noon, 1.30pm and 3.00pm.

The Little Land Train will be making a return visit to Hinckley and providing FREE rides again between Market Place and Castle Street. Very popular with adults and children alike!
