Banner photo for the news story 'Hinckley is OPEN for business!!'

The sun is shining and the doors to our fantastic shops, health & beauty salons and services are finally open again!! The occasion was marked with a live broadcast on BBC Radio Leicester which was led by our
wonderful Town Crier, Joe David, in his inimitable style and Steve Wegerif, BID Director.

Steve was delighted to talk up the town and the businesses as well as sharing news of all the free events that are scheduled between July and December in the town centre (full details on the BID website www.hinckleybid.co.uk).

Business owner Gayner Johnson of Johnson's, womenswear and lingerie retailer, established since 1947, said she was very happy to be welcoming her loyal customers back in person, and many new ones too. Gayner's lingerie business has recently won 'East Midlands Intimatewear Online Retailer of the Year'.

HBBC's Assistant Town Centre Manager, John Coward, said the public could be assured of a safe and welcoming shopping environment at all times. High Street Helpers and Ambassadors are on hand to assist
with any queries.

Paul and Sue Gardner of Hinckley District Past & Present kindly came along to offer their support and take these great photographs. Paul spoke about Hinckley's historic heritage and the work of HDPP, details of which can be found on the HDPP Facebook page.

So, a huge welcome back to all our great town centre businesses and we look forward to welcoming all you lovely people back soon too!

Hinckley offers an all-round visitor experience with lots of opportunity to pick up some delicious
food to enjoy with friends in the open air. So don't forget to factor in some recreational time before hair and beauty appointments, not to mention a little retail therapy. Just perfect!
