70 intrepid pancake racers of all ages braved the cold and damp and took to Castle Street at midday on Shrove Tuesday Feb 25th to try to win one of the coveted Hinckley BID Pancake-Race Trophies!
The Trophies were awarded to:
- ‘Best Dressed Pancake Flipper’ - Stripes the Tiger from Twycross Zoo
- ‘Excellent Effort’ - the Base 2 Be team.
- ‘Junior Race Runner-up’ - Trixie May from St. Marys School
- ‘Junior Race Winner’ - Cole from St Marys School
- 'Senior Race Runner-up' - Simon Jones – leader of the Cultural Services department at Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council
- 'Senior Race Winner' - Tom Upton from Steamin Billy
