Thank you to all 83 brave souls who took part in our Hinckley BID Pancake Race yesterday - even the Mayor put in a sterling performance! More than 2000 people came to watch this great 'Community Spirit' event - with entrants from 5 to 70 years old - some in wheelchairs with valiant pushers. Congratulations to Aidan Fletcher from local Accountants Custom Enterprises Ltd who was the fastest on the day and who took the cup and shield, whilst Jacob Chilvers to the Runner-up Cup. Dayle Crutchlow from North Warwickshire and Hinckley College won the Award for Best Fun Fancy Dress - his Mexican costume came complete with a donkey and his bright pink Cowboy Hat was certainly eye-catching.

Congratulations also go to Olivia Cox (aged 10)from St Peters, Earl Shilton who showed the boys a clean pair of heels and won the Fastest Junior Racer Cup. Mark Richards, an entry from Skills for Living, took the Excellent Effort Cup on behalf of the less-able, all of whom did really well and clearly enjoyed the racing.. Our next major event in the Hinckley BID Soap Box derby on Sunday July 5th.

Please remember that Hinckley BID have introduced FREE WIFI in the public areas throughout the Town Centre, so please log-in on your next visit.
