BID BUZZ - September 2021
|
Summer has flashed by in a whirlwind of fun events and activities in the Town Centre. We've had everything from a Mini Zoo to Train Rides up and down Castle Street and even Crazy Golf!
It is always rewarding to see the smiles on the children's faces as they enjoy the variety of free entertainment which we deliver, compliments of our many town centre businesses.
We would like to say a big thank you to all the families who visited and shopped in the town throughout. We are fortunate to have a vibrant community that is enhanced through your continued support.
But the fun doesn't end there! There is lots more to look forward to in 2021 and beyond!
First off is our annual Hinckley BID Motorshow, now in its 10th year!

Countdown to Hinckley's Motorshow!

10th Annual Town Centre Motorshow - Sunday, 19th September 2021
|
Entry now closed, but spectators are warmly welcomed
|
Back by popular demand!
In excess of 550 entries have been received for Hinckley BID’s FREE 10th Annual Motorshow taking place this Sunday, 19th September, which sees beautifully restored vehicles from all over the UK park up throughout Hinckley Town Centre for you to enjoy.
As in previous years, the town will be crammed with eye-catching vehicles of all ages, shapes and sizes, on show from 10.00am to 4.30pm - from a 100-year-old Steam Engine to the latest state-of-the-art Police Car!
Reg Price will again be showing his 1915 Model T Ford (that’s 106 years old!), Coventry Motor Museum will be bringing a surprise ‘special vehicle’ and nearly every marque representing different eras will be on show including huge retro-Cadillacs and Chevrolets - luxurious Aston Martins, Porsches, Rolls Royce and Jaguars – and for the speedsters, there will be the odd Lamborghini and Ferrari to drool over…
There will also be Motorbikes and Scooters showcasing how they have developed through the ages – and some specialist heavy vehicles including amazing tractors which will be located in The Borough…
Fun and FREE for all the family to attend, this really is a great day out!
Not only will there be a host of shops, pubs, bars, cafes and takeaways open in the town centre, but there will be additional free entertainment for any restless children in and around Argents Mead and live music at the Band Stand and in Market Place.
For those driving to the event, the Council owned car parks are free on Sundays.
Locations of Car Parks can be found at www.hinckleybid.co.uk/hinckley-car-parks (Church Walk car park will NOT be accessible to the public on Motorshow day).
Further details can be found on our website via the link below and new information will be added over the coming days.
