Congratulations to Johnsons!

Local family business, Johnsons, has been established since 1947 and owner, Gayner, has celebrated a number of awards in her time at the helm.

The popular womenswear boutique and lingerie specialist stocks excellent quality ranges at great prices, and customer service is second to none. It shouldn't come as a huge surprise then, that LUXLife Magazine Style and Apparel Awards has recognised this and named Johnsons, 'Best Lingerie Retailer in the Midlands' with a Customer Service Excellence Award!

These awards are for businesses that are a shining example of excellence and are a way of honouring business owners who demonstrate this within their industry.

Johnsons was contacted directly by LUXlife to enter the competition.  After going through several stages, culminating with a visit from a LuxLife representative, Johnsons was delighted to be named a winner!

LUXlife recognised Johnsons as a successful business with values they hold paramount - customer focused, providing excellent services.

Well done to Johnsons! It is fantastic to celebrate with our local businesses on their fantastic achievements.

The museum cottages are the most complete example of half-timbered buildings remaining in Hinckley and date from the seventeenth century, being originally built as a farmhouse. They are of box-frame construction with a tie-beam roof, with brick infill panels of the late 1700s which replaced the original wattle and daub. By the nineteenth century there were three cottages, and these were bought by Colonel Clive Atkins in 1919 and restored and altered to their present appearance between 1927-8. The Hinckley and District Museum has been housed in the cottages since 1996.

Song Contest - Almost Eurovision Experience
Tuesday 27th May to Saturday 31st May at Concordia Theatre, Stockwell Head.

Song Contest Almost Eurovision is a loving, hilarious homage that intuitively celebrates everything we love or loath about the Eurovision Song Contest.  It’s like being at the Eurovision Finals, with eleven countries competing and the audience deciding the winner. The main difference between our show and the real Eurovision? We squeeze in so much more – in less time and our version is deliberately funny!

Eurovision has given us unforgettable and possibly cringe-worthy songs over the years and we aim to do exactly the same, only with extra cheese on top!

Book early through the Concordia Theatre website.

Tickets: £17
