We are looking for a committed, self-motivated and enthusiastic person to join our electoral services team. The successful candidate will be involved in running the annual canvass and the Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs) and County Elections in 2021. Although this is currently a temporary position there is potential for this post to become permanent.

The role includes:

• Dealing with enquiries and responding to requests for information.

• Typing, data entry and maintaining databases

We are committed to providing excellent customer service for our front-line services. These include domestic household and commercial waste collection, the development of recycling services for residents, a garden waste subscription service, waste transfer from the operational site and the collection of data required for national statistical returns

To help us achieve this, we wish to recruit a customer-focussed, self-motivated Team Leader to manage and develop the team that provides administrative support to deliver these functions.

With a passion for delivering high quality public services and previous supervisory experience, you will lead a small team to help meet the demands of this public priority service.

Duties include:

• Management of a small support team;

• Maintenance and development of computerised support systems to process customer service requests and which support operational front-line service delivery;

• Answering customer enquiries via telephone and e-mail that cannot be dealt with at the first point of contact by the Contact Centre in accordance with agreed service standards;

• Close Liaison with the Council’s Customer Services Team to provide timely up to date information about services to relay to customers;

We are Looking for a Kitchen Assistant or Cook to work at our Town Centre pub in the heart of Hinckley. Food is important to us, we like to produce everything on site from fresh. Experience would be ideal but the training on the job can be given to the right willing candidate. They will be responsible for organising, cleaning, cooking, preparing, restocking, putting away deliveries and following processes.

Part/Full-time - 30 hours

Job Duties:

  • Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean working station whilst adhering to health & safety standards

16. Keeping track of general market services and costs and recommending negotiation with, or charge of, suppliers as appropriate. Producing regular reporting on supplier activity and associated costs.
17. Coordinating supplier activity across all ICT functions, including Programme Management.
18. Building strong and trusted relationships between all areas of the Council and the ICT suppliers.
19. To ensure the effective operation within the team of corporate personnel policies and practices, particularly in relation to the officers' code of conduct, financial and contract rules and procedures, appraisal, development, data quality, absence management, health and safety, discipline, grievance and equalities.
