We have been asked to share the following information with local businesses to help raise awareness of, and to support, our local young carers: Re: Request for Support and Contributions for Young Carers in Hinckley Hinckley and Bosworth Medical Alliance are currently leading a key initiative within the Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council, Community Health and Wellbeing Plan - Carers Action Group. Our aim is to support and empower carers in our community, with a particular focus on the often-overlooked group of young carers. As part of our ongoing efforts, we are developing a Young Carers Information Resource Pack to help raise awareness and provide valuable resources to support young carers in the Hinckley area. We believe that young carers play a vital role in our community and deserve recognition, support, and guidance as they balance caring responsibilities with their education and personal lives. To help make this resource pack as comprehensive and beneficial as possible, we would like to involve young carers in its development. We are reaching out to local businesses and organisations like yours to ask for your support in this important endeavour. We would greatly appreciate your consideration in providing incentives, vouchers, or free services that could support young carers in the development and engagement stage of this project. These could include: - Vouchers or discounts for local businesses (e.g., cafes, shops, attractions)
- Free tickets or passes to events and activities
- Donations of products or services that could benefit young carers (e.g., relaxation or wellness services)
- Any other forms of support you might be able to offer
Your contribution would be a meaningful way to show your support for young carers in the community, and in turn, we would be happy to acknowledge your generosity through our communication channels and your company will be included within the resource pack. Please feel free to contact sian.sykes3@nhs.net or 01455368037 to discuss how we can work together to make this initiative a success.

|
We are pleased to share information on this initiative from Greener Future Leicestershire: "The pack is a short introduction to Greener Future Leicestershire, a free business support service funded by Innovate UK through the Leicestershire Collaborate to Accelerate Net Zero (LCAN) demonstrator until the end of November this year. We’re working across the county to help organisations take practical steps towards sustainability — reducing emissions, cutting costs, meeting emerging requirements, and building resilience for the future. We know many micro, small and medium-sized organisations want to do more but aren’t always sure where to start, or how to find the time or resources to get there. That’s where we come in — to offer real, and practical support at no cost. By working with us, you can: Save money Stay competitive Meet new legislation Attract new business Become the supplier of choice Boost your business reputation Thrive in the circular economy Create a stronger, greener business community Demonstrate your own commitment to sustainable development Inside the pack you’ll find: An overview of the support we can offer organisations Details on workshops, drop-in sessions and training we can bring to your organisation Case studies to demonstrate the impact we have had for local organisations A few useful materials to share in communal spaces (available printed on request) Many thanks, The Greener Future Leicestershire team www.greenerfutureleicestershire.co.uk greenerfuture@le.ac.uk" Click HERE for the pack or open the .pdf document attached below.

🅿️ NEW Free On Street Parking in selected locations in Hinckley town centre. 🅿️ There is now now park free for up to an hour Monday to Saturday 8am to 6pm in all of these spaces? Including; along Station Rd (outside Elbow Room and by St Mary’s school), in Market Place, in the borough, along Regent St (down to opposite Asilo) and Lancaster Rd (the bay by Tarro). 🚗 All of these spaces were previously loading bays where you couldn't park, so this is welcome news for shoppers and businesses. Regards Hinckley BID also from Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council Across the town centre including Market Place and Castle Street, from the rising bollards are all pedestrianised areas, clearly signed as such with no waiting for vehicles at any time across all 7 days of the week. Loading is permitted before 10am and after 4pm. Vehicles parked here are subject to enforcement and several vehicles have recently been issued tickets. Vehicles parked in these areas are causing complications with town centre events and markets which regularly take place in these areas throughout the year. Parked vehicles can also cause challenges for emergency vehicle access. Our town centre CCTV team will actively be monitoring this area and taking down registration details of any offending vehicles and reporting offenders to Leicestershire County Council who may issue fines. If you have been parking in this area if you could please refrain from doing so with immediate effect and find alternative parking. Parking enforcement in the town centre may operate across all 7 days of the week and officers have been made aware to monitor these areas. If you have any questions or comments, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Many thanks in advance, Yours faithfully John Coward Assistant Town Centre Manager
