Winter Vigilance Campaign – toolkit for businesses

From Hinckley BID to all BID members

Counter Terrorism Policing have asked via the Government's Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities if we would circulate the below information to BID’s regarding toolkits for winter vigilance campaigns.

The Police are urging shoppers, event goers and businesses to remain vigilant whilst out and about or working over the 2022 festive period, and report anything that doesn’t feel right.

A campaign toolkit has been created, which contains key messages and resources that can be used by councils and businesses.

The campaign aims to:

  • Highlight how we can all play our part in defeating terrorism
  • Increase awareness of the signs of potential terrorist activity
  • Encourage staff and customers to report anything that doesn’t feel right
  • Encourage everyone to socialise safely

If businesses have any questions, please contact nctphq.comms@met.police.uk

If we can help, we will!

Please remember that if we can help, we always will or find somebody who may be able to assist.

Many thanks, stay safe and well.
