Garden & Well-Being event is coming to Hinckley! Plus, Colour the Town Art Trail

2026 is shaping up to be an exciting year for our town, packed with a variety of vibrant events that promise to bring the community together and showcase local talent and creativity. - NEW Garden Show and Well-Being Event: In May the town will come alive! Expect colourful displays and a weekend of garden design, well-being and entertainment. - NEW Colour the Town for the whole of June: Throughout the late spring, our town will be transformed into a canvas of colour. From art installations to a dedicated trail, expect shops to participate with vibrant window displays, making every corner a feast for the eyes. Returning Favourites - Britannia's Got Talent: This much-loved event will return to the Britannia Centre, providing a platform for local performers to shine and entertain. - OctoBIDfest is returning for a second year after such a successful team effort with Regent Street businesses last year - Motor Show: Celebrating its 15th anniversary, this traditional motor show will be a highlight of the autumn calendar. It promises to be a grand celebration of automotive excellence. - Bike Stunt Show: Thrilling bike stunt performances will make a comeback, adding excitement to our summer events. -Emergency Services Day: This popular event will return to The Crescent, offering the community a chance to engage with and learn about our local emergency services. Seasonal Traditions -Easter and October Trails: Our traditional trails will continue, providing family-friendly adventure and exploration during these festive seasons. - Shopfront Competitions: Local businesses will once again compete for the best decorated shopfronts, adding to the festive atmosphere throughout the year. With these events, 2026 promises to be a year filled with fun, creativity, and community spirit. Get ready to mark your calendars and join in on the celebrations! As the festive season draws to a close, we want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who played a part in making the Christmas buildup in Hinckley Town Centre a resounding success. Your support during this bustling time truly embodies the spirit of community, and we are thankful for each and every one of you. A Special Thanks to Our Market Contributors... Hinckley BID's Christmas Market was a vibrant celebration, filled with the joy and warmth that the season brings. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Local Vendors, Your dedication and creativity brought unique products and festive cheer to our market. From handcrafted gifts to delicious treats, your contributions made the market a delightful experience for all. Thank you for supporting a new fresh event and helping create a future for indoor special event markets to supplement to the usual town market that’s available on a Monday, Friday and Saturday weekly throughout the year. Acknowledging the Britannia Centre which was a hub of activity throughout the Christmas period and hosted some special performances from local bands and choirs. Your commitment to providing a welcoming environment helped create a space where families and friends gathered and enjoyed the entertainment. Thank you for your unwavering support to the BID throughout December and our Support Sofa space which offers monthly support to the community throughout 2025 and will continue throughout 2026. Supporting Local Businesses We also want to recognise the local businesses, retailers, including all the hospitality that kept their doors open throughout Christmas and New Year. Your hard work and commitment to serving our community, even during the busiest times, are commendable. Thank you for shopping in Hinckley Town Centre. Sense Charity Shop in Hinckley will be holding a BODEN clothing event. The shop will have a large collection of ladies clothing including dresses, trousers, tops, skirts etc. There will also be some lovely BODEN children's clothing as well. All items are brand new and are heavily reduced from the original retail price. Customers will be able to pick up a real bargain! All proceeds will be ploughed back into the charity and used to support many individuals and their families.
