Counterfeit Currency Alert - Scottish £50 Notes
Hinckley Police have been made aware of a recent incident where a retailer has been passed counterfeit Scottish £50 notes.

Please be aware that persons are again using counterfeit Scottish £50 notes.

The three serial numbers we have identified are:

  • TS245546
  • EB795536
  • CM792542

The notes are of average quality, and the hologram section on the clear strip of the notes can be peeled off.

Also, if you look closely at the serial numbers they are not printed cleanly.

If you have any concerns about the validity of £50 notes consider refusal of sale.
