As soon as HBBC receive the final details from Government (expected next week) as well as the funds to be able to pay them out, they will inform us and we will get that information straight out to you.

There has been a minor variation to the payment structure:

  • Businesses occupying hereditaments appearing on the local rating list with a rateable value of exactly £15,000 or under on the date of the commencement of the widespread national restrictions will receive a payment of £1,334 per 28-day qualifying restriction period.
  • Businesses occupying hereditaments appearing on the local rating list with a rateable value over £15,000 and less than £51,000 on the date of the commencement of the widespread national restrictions will receive a payment of £2,000 per 28-day qualifying restriction period.
  • Businesses occupying hereditaments appearing on the local rating list with a rateable value of exactly £51,000 or above on the commencement date of the widespread national restrictions, will receive £3,000 per 28-day qualifying restriction period.

Half-term ‘Shop-Hinckley’ Event and Treasure Hunt

Many thanks to all the businesses who made an offer during half-term week, from the messages that we received this proves a very popular event despite the constant covid threat.

Our Free Hinckley BID Treasure Hunt (which took people all around the town requiring them to use their phone cameras on a QR poster at each of 12 locations to get the clue for the next location) proved a winning event with 337 adults and children submitting entries. We are very grateful to Jaspers (£100 voucher), F.Hines the Jewellers (£50 Voucher) and WILKO (£40 Vouchers) for their generosity, topped up by 20 x £25 Vouchers to spend anywhere in Hinckley Town Centre donated by the BID.

The Winning Entries were kindly drawn by our MP Dr Luke Evans at the Houses of Parliament this Wednesday – our grateful thanks to him at this busy time.
