We are very disappointed for all the non-essential retailers who thought that they might be able to open on June 1st, but providing the number of new cases etc continues to decline then people will surely feel safer to venture out and go shopping on June 15th than they will on June 1st. There are also rumours that the food and drink sector may be able to open sooner than feared and that would be very good news. We will continue to keep our ears to the ground...

Businesses with air conditioning
For businesses concerned that their air-conditioning may spread any virus, please see the below HSE guidance:
The risk of air conditioning spreading coronavirus is extremely low.
If you use a centralised ventilation system that removes and circulates air to different rooms, it is recommended that you turn off recirculation and use a fresh air supply.
You do not need to adjust other types of air conditioning systems.
If you’re unsure, speak to your heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) engineers or advisers.
Good ventilation is encouraged to help reduce the risk of spreading coronavirus.
