Hinckley Business Centre Opens

Posted on Saturday 27 February 2010 in the 'Town Centre Partnership News' category

Companies in Hinckley will have expert financial, legal and HR advice at their fingertips plus much more, thanks to a brand new centre.

The innovative Hinckley Business Centre is the first of its kind in Leicestershire and opens its doors later this week.

The hub on Castle Street, being opened by County Council Leader David Parsons, will promote local businesses and provide vital support as well as encourage them to work together.

Firms can take advantage of advice from local professionals, take part in surgeries and make use of training and meeting rooms. The facility will also run campaigns encouraging residents in the area to buy local.

The centre is being run by Hinckley Town Centre Partnership and has received £30,000 from the County Council, together with sponsership from local businesses.

David Parsons will open the hub on Friday (12th February) and said: "The business centre will be a vital resource and provide Hinckley companies with a wealth of expertise.

“In the current economic climate, local authorities need to support local firms as much as they can and we look forward to sharing our experiences with other towns across the county."

Ian Daniels said “This much need resource will ensure that local businesses benefit from support available to them and creates a central hub to help showcase the wealth of goods, services and expertise available within the local area. We are keen to create a sense of community and encourage local businesses to trade with one another in support of our ‘Keep Business Local Campaign’.”
