Play Worker (three positions)
Grade 4, £9.10 up to £10.91 per hour, causal contract

Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council are looking for exciting, enthusiastic and highly creative individuals who can deliver play opportunities for children aged 5-11yrs across Hinckley and Bosworth.

We recognise the significance and value of play in children's development and their innate desire to seek out opportunities as part of their play and learning. As a play worker you will work as part of a team to provide exciting and challenging opportunities for all children to explore both themselves and the communities they live in. This will involve both indoor and outdoor activities, so you should be willing to work with the natural elements, get messy, get active and generally ensure that the children have fun.

Job Description

Assistant Town Centre Manager Grade 6, £23,935 up to £29,033 per annum 37 hours per week, two year fixed term position
Town centre management is well established in Hinckley with excellent partnership links with both the private and public sector. The council is strengthening its services in support of the vitality and viability of Hinckley Town Centre and its rural Town Centres. The Assistant Town Centre Manager will play a key role in this enhancement.
You will work alongside Hinckley’s Business Improvement District, local businesses, Chambers of Trade, Town/Parish Councils, communities, voluntary organisations and especially the Hinckley Town Centre Partnership.
Delivery will be via a wide range of activities including management of events, improvements to public realm and town centre safety, dynamic promotion and securing external funding for rural and town centre improvements.
Reporting to the Town Centre Manager, we are looking for an experienced, dynamic and resourceful person who has experience of delivering promotional activities to increase footfall into the town centres. If you possess excellent communication skills and can demonstrate experience of business engagement we would like to hear from you.
The successful candidate will have a very good knowledge and understanding of the principles of Town Centre Management and can demonstrate experience in Event Management. We seek someone with experience in the management of projects and people, and the ability to develop the services. You may not have a retail background but we would expect you to have an awareness of the retail environment and understand its priorities and potential opportunities.
