Marketing & Promotion - Hinckley Loyalty Card

Last updated on 1 April 2011

In support of the ongoing ‘Keep Business local Campaign’ Hinckley BID will be launching a Customer Loyalty Card in March of this year.

The scheme is designed to encourage the local community to use their Town Centre businesses more frequently and to promote the Special Offers that are available throughout Hinckley.

The BID will launch the scheme with a leaflet drop to households within the Borough inviting individuals to apply for a Loyalty Card by returning a prepaid card attached to the leaflet. The launch will be supported by radio and newspaper advertising stressing the importance of keeping business local. We are also exploring the options of allying the scheme with some form of car parking incentive.

The Scheme will be based on the principle of a simple discount scheme, where by participating businesses will reward card holders for their loyalty and support by offering a small discount. This discount could simply be a percentage discount on a particular line, a special offer e.g. ‘a free glass of wine with a two course meal’, a buy one get one free on sales lines, or a offer available on week day only, the choice is yours.

The offers will be published on a monthly basis on the BID Website or posted out to the card holder. Participating businesses will be provided with log on details to allow them to change their own offer and will be encouraged to publish a new offer each month to help attract new members and regular visits from existing members.

The scheme will help provide us with vital customer data and allow us to contact them directly to promote other initiatives and local events.  It will also provide a great opportunity for businesses to promote themselves to customers on a regular basis. A similar scheme launched in Darlington attracted 7500 members.

This promotion is open to all business regardless of sector, Retail, Food & Drink, Hair & Beauty and Commercial.
