Work in Progress - Footfall Monitors 

Extensive work has been undertaken to establish the most suitable locations for the installation of footfall measuring devices, and following responses to quotation requests, a suitable partner has been evaluated and chosen. The counters will provide much needed local data to help us:

1.    To accurately monitor footfall on a day by day, hour by hour basis.

2.    To evaluate how footfall has been affected as a result of any local events or promotional activity.  

3.    To provide local businesses with accurate information to help them manage their business.

4.    To help us attract potential new businesses to the town centre.

Final authorisation is being sought from landlords for location of 3 of the 5 cameras, work is planned to start on the 18th September 2010 now that final permissions have been granted.
